Educational Scholarships
A driver's children didn't choose the road. They shouldn't have to give up their future because of it. We fund annual scholarships for the children and spouses of fallen professional truck drivers.
Two scholarship tracks.
Children of Fallen Drivers
Awarded annually to dependent children pursuing undergraduate education. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 per academic year and are renewable through graduation (four years maximum).

Surviving Spouses
For surviving spouses or domestic partners returning to education — whether completing a degree, pursuing a new certification, or entering the workforce for the first time.

- • Up to $3,500 per year for two years

Application process.
Submit application
Complete the online application. Required: proof of driver's professional status, proof of relationship (birth certificate or marriage certificate), and a personal statement.
Scholarship committee review
Applications are reviewed by our independent scholarship committee, which includes educators, industry professionals, and former NFTDRF family members.
Award notification
Recipients are notified by June 1. Disbursements are made directly to the educational institution before the fall semester.

Every scholarship is funded by a donation.
A single $5,000 gift funds one year of college for a child who already lost too much. Your contribution goes directly into the scholarship fund.
